This year’s Geneva Motor Show saw the unveiling of the latest flagship for the Volkswagen brand—the 2018 Arteon. Set to launch on our shores early next year, we thought it would be a bit longer before we learned what it’s like to drive. But the team at Autoblog has gotten an early look, and they came away quite impressed with what it has to offer.
The handsome looks of the new Arteon cannot be understated. Yet behind all that sporting sheet metal is a comfortable interior with a driving experience to match. True—the Arteon is designed for comfort rather than speed, but that doesn’t mean Das Auto hasn’t worked in a bit of their sporting magic. Crisp and confident turn-in response, and a rigid chassis and plush suspension that soaks up bumps is just part of the equation. The real magic comes from a 276-hp engine that will be available at the top of the range.
The Arteon will also offer quite a bit of practicality behind that rear hatch. To learn more about it, contact our Volkswagen dealership in Fort Myers, FL. You can also watch an additional review above to get a primer on this new flagship.
