My son had warranty work done on a electrical short with his driver's side windows and a random sunny day when his wipers would turn on in his VW Jetta. When he got the car back after service, he noticed the steering wheel was crooked when he was on a straight-away. He called and scheduled an appointment. When he arrived, he was told that his alignment was off and it would be $299. He said it wasn't pulling, but the steering wheel was crooked. He was told they would check it out. They came back and he was shown pictures of his alignment and the price was now $199, $248ish total. Not sure why the price changed, but he had no problem with steering prior to warranty/service work done. Not sure if it was even his car for that matter. I know those jobs are rushed and he was told steering column work was done. Maybe they saw a naive college kid and decided to make a fee $? Not sure, but not happy about that treatment.
